DAAS Choir wins an Emmy for “One Nation”!

Congratulations to Ms. Kee and the DAAS Choir on their Emmy win for the video “One Nation”, this weekend. This is a great honor and major accomplishment for our students and District. We are so proud of their achievement!

“Imagine Me” By The Detroit Academy of Arts & Sciences Choir

This is the DAAS (Detroit Academy of Arts & Sciences) Choir’s version of Kirk Franklin’s Grammy award-winning Gospel song, Imagine Me. As a classroom assignment, students were asked to re-imagine the lyrics to reflect their feelings regarding current events. We hope this version evokes the same message of hope as Mr. Franklin’s inspiring original.
