Making a Difference Day

On October 25, 2014, millions of volunteers across the nation united with a common mission – to
improve the lives of others. For more than 20 years, USA WEEKEND Magazine has organized the
largest national day of community service. A local author of a children’s book series, The Good
Eggs, selected our students to participate in a series of mini community service projects for their
“Making the Difference Day” Project.
“Thank you again for giving us the opportunity to spend the morning at DAAS to celebrate the release
of Book Three: The Good Eggs In the Community and to celebrate ‘Make a Difference Day.” The
5th graders were AWESOME today. They were so energetic, helpful, polite, and great fun to be with.
