On May 5th, 2016 The Detroit Academy of Arts & Sciences launched a new fundraising program called Money Smart Kids. Student Success Seminar teacher Calvin Sibert collaborated with Stanley Steppes, founder & CEO of Money Smart Kids,LLC. Money Smart Kids is an organization that supports financial, career and entrepreneurship education for kids. The program runs for two weeks and the kids will be awarded visa gift cards for their hard work. Both Mr. Sibert and Mr. Stanley are passionate about teaching kids how to be entrepreneurs and staying positive about their dreams. Joining the two, former NFL player TJ Duckett came to speak to the middle schoolers about the importance of education, hard work and believing in your dreams.
