Dance is a wonderful outlet of expression. Here at Detroit Academy of Arts and Sciences, students are offered the opportunity to study dance at the 3rd through 8th grade levels. Dance classes are offered to students and consist of dance theory and techniques which include: ballet, jazz, modern, African dance, and performance training. Students enrolled in the Dance Education Program develop self-awareness, critical and creative thinking skills which help foster excellence in academic endeavors, Arts appreciation, and preparation for career success.  After School classes are offered for students to further develop and refine their dance techniques and skills.
