Visual Art – Mr. Bouchard
Mr. Bouchard’s art classes focus on the concept of visual literacy. Art elements and design principles are the foundation of each lesson. Using a variety of tools and techniques, students are given an opportunity to creatively represent the world around them. Helping students to acquire a set of useful skills, as well as nurturing students’ artistic talents, are the main goals in Mr. Bouchard’s art classes.
Media Arts – Mr. Goodrum
Students will explore the creation of art through various techniques, styles, and materials. This class emphasizes the creation of art, not only as an art form and means of expression, but also as a way to increase visual literacy and understanding of what and how we see. This course is meant to explore the artistic process through S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) based learning with a heavy emphasis on the Arts and Technology. Students will learn new techniques for observing, recording and communicating.
