The movie “Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer” was used as a kick off for our continued cross-curriculum lessons on Anti-Bullying, Inclusion, and compassion, on the elementary level. The objectives of the lessons are to teach students about the negative effects of bullying, as well as the effects of positive support from their peers. In addition, it will…

1. Teach students how a perceived weakness can be a hidden attribute (strength).

2. Teach students how being “different” can be celebrated.
3. Assist students in developing strategies for helping a victim of bullying.

The Cross-Curriculum lessons included will focus on:

A. Geography/Map Skills to locate the North Pole.

B. Science, weather at the North Pole during the month of December.

C. Art, reindeer design.

D. Music, learn the song “Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer.”

As part of the program, students gathered in gym to learn more about Anti-Bullying, Inclusion, and Compassion.

Congrats to Ms. Irvin’s class, who won prizes for being the best listeners and answering the most question out of all of the classes.
