The Detroit Academy of Arts and Sciences is very proud of its student accomplishments, especially those seen in the fine and performing arts department. Our students in the Show Choir have had the opportunity to not only perform in local venues but to also appear nationally on such shows as the Ellen DeGeneres Show, America’s Got Talent and the Today Show. They have also performed at Walt Disney World.

We believe that these experiences in the arts are critical to the overall development of children and are committed to keeping the arts as part of our general instructional program. We have seen how the arts can be a catalyst for learning and inspirational to student achievement. Student participation in the arts can make a difference in the development of a child.
